Description

As the wave of legalization swelled across states, the issue was closely linked with social equity and how to not only support those disproportionately impacted by the War on Drugs, but also create space and opportunity for those same people. To date, the impact of well-intended legislation is marginal and inconsistent to say the least, so how does the industry ensure that the opportunity is available for those people most impacted by prohibition? Strategic partnerships can be an avenue for the industry to bridge challenges, create sustainable opportunities and establish a framework for true social equity at work.

You will learn: -

  • The challenges faced by BIPOC and Tribal Nations to successfully engage in the industry and the value proposition of social equity in cannabis
  • The importance of working with organizations in the community and considerations for building a sustainable cannabis venture in those communities
  • A new thought process on the industry-wide, social equity discussion and how to make social equity actionable and beneficial for all parties
  • An opportunity for Q&A at the end
